This is not a wait-until-the-next-oil-change notice. NHTSA says affected 2020–2024 Kia Tellurides should be parked outside, away from buildings and other vehicles, until the new recall repair is completed because the front power-seat motor can overheat and catch fire.
Why there is another repair
The vehicles were recalled for the same issue in 2024. NHTSA says a struck or damaged seat-slide cover or knob can leave the switch operating continuously, while an improper repair under the earlier recall can also allow the motor to overheat.
What owners should do
Check the VIN or license plate at NHTSA’s official recall page instead of relying on model year alone. Follow the park-outside instruction if the vehicle is affected and contact a Kia dealer to schedule the new electronic-fuse remedy when available.
Keep the paper trail
Save the lookup result, appointment confirmation and completed repair order. If the vehicle is sold later, that record helps show that the current remedy—not only the earlier recall work—was performed.
