Upcoming-car coverage needs a delete button as much as an add button. Honda has canceled development and planned U.S. launches for three battery-electric vehicles: the Honda 0 SUV, Honda 0 Saloon and Acura RSX.
Why Honda changed direction
Honda points to slower growth in the U.S. EV market and says it will strengthen its hybrid lineup. That does not mean the company is leaving electrification; it means these specific American launches are no longer part of the plan described in earlier previews.
What shoppers should do
Remove the canceled models from near-term comparison sheets and avoid making lease-end or home-charger decisions around them. If a dealer or third-party page still invites interest, confirm whether it has been updated after Honda’s announcement.
Our take
A future-car page is useful only when it distinguishes confirmed production from concepts and canceled projects. We will keep the original names searchable, but clearly marked as canceled so shoppers do not build a 2027 budget around outdated promises.
